Life's challenges can feel overwhelming at times, causing us to question our values, goals, and sense of self. During these pivotal moments, therapy can be a powerful tool to help us navigate our journey and find our authentic voices. It's time to give yourself permission to evolve and embrace the journey of self-discovery. I am here to support you along the way, providing the safe space and expertise you need to get unstuck, find your voice, and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Women and Gender Studies from DePaul University, where I focused on disability justice advocacy and providing affirming sexuality and gender education. Later, I completed my master's degree in Clinical Psychology Counseling Practice at Roosevelt University. During my studies, I worked for the Alzheimer’s Association, offering emotional support and resources to individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
Currently, I work part-time at The Cancer Support Center, providing therapeutic services to individuals at different stages of the cancer journey, as well as caregivers and bereaved individuals. Additionally, I have developed extensive programs aimed at offering extra support to young adults coping with chronic illness or cancer. My experience encompasses a range of concerns, including anxiety, medical-health related trauma, depression, ADHD, identity development, grief, and adjusting to significant life changes.
Check out some of my thoughts on important ideas in the world of psychology and psychotherapy:
We all have diverse and meaningful identities that shape who we are as individuals. When it comes to therapy, I believe in the power of collaboration, valuing your expertise as the authority on your own unique life experiences. My approach is rooted in curiosity rather than judgment, creating a welcoming and accessible space where you can freely express yourself. Together, we can navigate and process life changes, cultivate new habits, foster balance, and reclaim your joy and personal power.
