I obtained my undergraduate degree in Women and Gender Studies from DePaul University, where I focused on disability justice advocacy and providing affirming sexuality and gender education. Later, I completed my master's degree in Clinical Psychology Counseling Practice at Roosevelt University. During my studies, I worked for the Alzheimer’s Association, offering emotional support and resources to individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
Previously, I worked for several years at The Cancer Support Center, providing therapeutic services to individuals at different stages of the cancer journey, as well as caregivers and bereaved individuals. Additionally, I have developed extensive programs aimed at offering extra support to young adults coping with chronic illness or cancer. My experience encompasses a range of concerns, including anxiety, rehabiliation counseling, medical-health related trauma, depression, ADHD, identity development, grief, and adjusting to significant life changes.
I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, TriCare, Medicare BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans.
