We accept cash, credit cards, checks, and reimbursement from several major insurance companies for psychological servies. We have fixed prices for our services. However, we believe psychology services are of great value for a community. Therefor, we offer a sliding scale to a percentage of our caseloads. This allows individuals on a fixed income without insurance to receive help.
Current cash rates for psychology services are $200.00 for an hour session, and $300.00 for 90 minutes. Intakes are $300. Corporate presentations and trainings and clinical training prices vary the length and extent of work involved in organization time and workload.
We also accept out-of-network plans, and can provide a Superbill for submission to your insurance. They may provide you with reimbursement.
If you use insurance, your insurance company will pay the amount we are contracted with them to receive. You will not be required to pay the out-of-pocket amounts listed above or a balance of that amount, just a deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance, if those are applicable in your plan.
We are paneled with BCBS IL PPO, Cigna PPO, Optum/United Health PPO, UMR, Aetna PPO, Medicare, BCBS Community/MMIA, Meridian, Cigna HealthSpring, and Tricare military insurance.
Psychotherapy is, by and large, covered by insurance. Mind-Body treatments are often incorporated in these services. The amount covered depends entirely upon the insurance company and your contract with them.
Insurance companies do not always cover psychological testing fees. Psychological testing is a labor intensive, time consuming service. Because of this, it is more expensive than psychotherapy. Insurance companies usually require pre-certification before agreeing to pay for the service. This can often take time. If you are in need of a fast results from this service, insurance re-imbursement may not be the best option for you.
Corporate Consultation and Supervision are not covered under insurance.
There is a great deal of variety in the services we offer. We have detailed these in the other pages on this website. The main difference for you, the consumer, is what the goal of the service is, and how much time, realistically, must be considered for the results you are seeking.
Psychotherapy, coaching, or consulting (online or in-person sessions) are typically ongoing, and weekly or bi-weekly in nature. The length of time they proceed with depends on the nature of the problem being addressed. Coaching and consulting can be one to four sessions, or an ongoing service with the client.
When we initially take a patient into our caseloads, we see them on a weekly basis, sometimes more, depending on the presenting problem and the need for treatment.
We do not see new patients on a bi-weekly basis, as this would interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment plan. If, after a period of time, it can be determined if the frequency of sessions can be reduced because there has been progress, we will reduce the number of sessions per month.
Psychological testing takes place over a period of days or weeks. Sessions do not continue after a feedback session, and results have been discussed.
Your space in our caseload is a top priority. Our clinician's time is a priority as well. We require that you cancel your appointment within 48 hours. Not doing so makes it difficult for us to provide someone else with that spot if they need our help. All cancellations not within 48 hours and no-shows will incur a $100.00 charge.
