I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University after a successful career in crisis communications and public affairs at the U.S. Department of State. At Adler, my training focused on trauma work and included advanced study in Adlerian psychodynamic theory, which explores how early childhood experiences shape adult life. I also specialized in working with adolescents and families navigating complex challenges.
Following my coursework, I completed an intensive hybrid internship at a social services agency supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. In this role, I worked with survivors—including women and children seeking safety and working through the impact of DV in their lives —as well as individuals who perpetrated domestic
violence. This experience deepened my understanding of trauma and crisis work and inspired me to pursue specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and recover from traumatic experiences and PTSD symptoms.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I believe in the innate resilience and capacity for healing within every person and strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients can access that strength and build the tools needed for meaningful, lasting change.
I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans.
