I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I have a Bachelor’s of Health Science from the University of Dayton. During this time, my focus was on physical health and life science. During this period, I was working in labs and assisting with research. While I still have a great love for this work, after a period of personal discernment, I knew my calling was to work in the mental health field.
I had always gravitated towards mental health academia and being there for individuals experiencing mental health crises, and knew I needed to fully lean into this passion. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
This education gave me the knowledge of the societal contexts that clients are living in, on top of the physical health knowledge I had already received. This allows me to have a holistic understanding of the individual. During this period, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting in a hospital providing case management and support to individuals hospitalized with severe mental illness.
I also received a certificate in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. I am also trained in biofeedback modalities to help with stress and anxiety symptoms, which has coalesced with some of my original training.
I incorporate biofeedback into sessions to help you tune into your body’s natural rhythms and discover new ways to manage stress and anxiety. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can build resilience, improve self-awareness, and feel empowered in your healing journey.
I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans.
