Layne Remington, M.A.

Thank you for reaching out to me!

Life doesn’t come with a guidebook, but sometimes it feels like it should. The weight of expectations—whether from society, family, or even yourself—can make it hard to know what you really want or how to move forward. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, you’re not alone. I believe that healing happens in spaces that feel safe, supportive, and free of judgment. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you understand yourself, take back control, and navigate life in a way

that feels right for you.

Professional Background

I hold a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Art Therapy

from Miami University and a Dual Master of Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University. As a pre-licensed counselor and art therapist, my approach is integrative and tailored to each client's unique needs. I draw from strengths-based, person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and art therapy techniques to support individuals' personal growth. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the challenges that come

with societal and parental expectations.

I have personally navigated complex pressures placed on women by society—experiences that have shaped my understanding and commitment to helping others. Having faced these challenges myself, I know how isolating and overwhelming they can feel, and I’m here to help others navigate life with compassion and empathy. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness, and creative interventions to help clients reframe negative thoughts, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of self. I take a holistic and identity-conscious perspective, acknowledging how identity, relationships, and lived experiences shape our emotional well-being.

I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans.

My Perspective

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral

therapy (CBT), and existential therapy to find what works best for each person. Through creative

prompts, mindfulness, and journaling,

I help clients tap into their emotions, memories, and unconscious thoughts in a way that feels natural and meaningful. My practice is trauma-informed and client-centered, encouraging self-awareness, connection, and growth. Therapy is a space to explore who you are, what you need, and how you want to move forward—without judgment,

pressure, or expectation.

Who I Work With

I offer creative support for people navigating anxiety, burnout, stress, sadness, and grief.  Whether you're facing life transitions, relational challenges, or seeking personal growth, I provide a space for self-expression and reflection. I work with adults and adolescents, helping them move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. My goal is to support you in gaining clarity, resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself.
