If you’ve found your way here, you’ve already taken an important step toward caring for yourself, and that’s something to be proud of! Having experienced the growth and healing that can come from therapy myself, I am passionate about helping others discover the same benefits for themselves. You are the expert on your own life. My role as your therapist is to walk alongside you, support you, and provide deeper insight into managing your personal challenges. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space in which you feel heard, understood, and respected.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, majoring in Psychology and Sociology of Law, Crime, and Deviance. Early in my career, I worked closely with individuals impacted by incarceration and supported children facing developmental delays and trauma. These formative experiences gave me a deep appreciation for how systemic factors and environmental influences shape mental health and overall well-being.
Building on this foundation, I completed my master’s in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas and am a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Minnesota. My clinical experience includes providing both individual and group counseling in substance use treatment settings. Through this work, I developed a passion for supporting individuals struggling with addiction, eating disorders, and co-occurring mental health concerns. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional.
I am especially committed to helping families and loved ones navigate the complexities of addiction and recovery. My approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and rooted in compassion—ensuring that every client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
As a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), I have advanced training in recognizing and treating the complex effects of trauma on mental health, emotional well-being, and physical wellness. My certification reflects my dedication to providing trauma-informed, compassionate, and evidence-based therapy to people recovering from traumatic experiences. I am committed to fostering a supportive and safe therapeutic environment where you can begin your healing journey.
I use Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback in my therapy sessions to help you build emotional resilience and feel more in control of life’s ups and downs. By blending this evidence-based approach with compassionate, trauma-informed care, I aim to support you in managing stress, anxiety, and daily challenges with greater ease and confidence.
Previous clients have described me as warm, empathetic, and genuinely willing to meet you wherever you are, honoring your unique path toward recovery and resilience
Whether you are seeking support for addiction recovery, mental health challenges, or navigating the impact of a loved one’s substance use, I am here to help you find hope, healing, and lasting change.
I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans.
I approach therapy from a grounded, thoughtful, and deeply human perspective. I believe each individual holds the capacity for growth and healing within themselves. My role is to provide a safe, empathetic, and supportive space to explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful change. Together, we’ll walk through your journey at your pace and in a way that feels authentic to you.
I use an intentional and flexible combination of several therapeutic approaches to individualize my work with clients. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients identify and clarify their values, build meaningful action around their values, and strengthen everyday coping through mindfulness practices. I believe your story and experiences deserve to be heard and encourage this through Narrative Therapy. My perspective is that our thoughts play a big role in how we feel and respond to the world, and I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help uncover patterns that may be holding you back.
I help adults and adolescents navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, life transitions, depression, and the impacts of trauma. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been personally affected by substance use or are coping with the challenges of a loved one’s addiction. Additionally, I welcome work with individuals struggling with body image and disordered eating. I strive to provide culturally sensitive, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care where all aspects of identity are valued and respected.
