Healing and growth can be some of the most uncomfortable—and most meaningful—experiences in life. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite name can make it hard to see a way forward. Therapy doesn’t have to be about “fixing” yourself. Instead, we can work together to understand what you’re going through, build on the strengths you already have, and create new coping strategies that feel sustainable.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My background includes hands-on experience in neuropsychology practices and in nonprofit organizations. This diverse clinical and community experience has given me a deep understanding of how to coordinate care with other mental health professionals, medical providers, and support systems.
As a therapist at Chicago Psychology Services, I offer anxiety therapy, depression counseling, and trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults in Chicago and online throughout Illinois. I’ll walk alongside you through the “muck,” acting as a guide and a steady support as we work through the stuck points that are keeping you from the life you want. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and focused on meeting you exactly where you are—with dignity, curiosity, and compassion.
I welcome people from all walks of life and strive to create a safe, affirming space for clients of all diverse backgrounds and identities. Topics like race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, trauma history, and socioeconomic background are often central to how we experience the world—and they deserve space in the therapy room. I won’t shy away from these conversations. I aim to treat you as a whole person, approaching these areas with cultural humility, knowing I am always learning and open to your perspective.
I provide counseling that is LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and grounded in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT. Whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, addiction, or major life transitions, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
I accept BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, BCBS Community, Meridian, and Medicaid plans, and offer both in-person sessions in Chicago and online therapy for clients across Illinois.
I practice an eclectic approach to counseling with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and meeting people where they are. I choose the approaches best suited for my clients based on their lived experience, belief system, values, worldview, self-concept, and their environmental circumstances.
I believe that the purpose of therapy should not be to file down a person’s edges. It should be a process that helps bring a person closer to their authentic self. Sometimes that means finding your voice, sometimes it’s learning and reaffirming your right to take up space in this world, and sometimes that means turning the hardest you’ve faced into strength and resilience.
My approach is to create a collaborative relationship with my clients and walk together with them through their mental health journey. While my approach may vary depending on a client’s needs, treatment will always involve developing a trusting therapeutic relationship, identifying strengths and goals, creating awareness of patterns and tendencies, identifying stuck points, and finding ways to redefine and overcome the things that are preventing the client from living life as their true self.
