Isaac Miller, M.S.W., L.S.W.

Thanks for visiting my page!

I am a social worker who works with clients online and in Chicago, IL. I provide psychotherapy and counseling at Chicago Psychology Services. I completed my undergraduate education at Indiana University. I was never certain what career to pursue and consequentially, ended up working in a wide variety of fields, with a lot of experience with many different people along the way.

My Professional Background

One thing I knew for sure is that I wanted to help others! In trying to accomplish this, I ended up working in many different social service positions around the Chicago-land area. I completed my graduate education in social work at Loyola University. As part of my clinical education, I worked in Cook County Jail assisting those who were experiencing severe mental illnesses. I also completed a placement at a local community center providing support in their food bank, domestic violence victim’s assistance program, and open case management program.

My Perspective

It is not a cure all, but self-improvement and self-actualization are valuable tools against combatting a wide variety of mental stressors. I use practical, evidence-based approaches (such as CBT/ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help patients accomplish their specific goals. Achieving goals, no matter how small, is a great way to track your own progress. Everyone is unique so there is no one-size-fits-all method for therapy. Therapy can be challenging but simultaneously extremely rewarding. I look forward to helping you on your way to a happy, more fulfilling life.

Who I Work With

Providing mental health interventions is something I am extremely passionate about.  I've made it my life's mission to help people in need and reduce mental health stigmas.

I work extensively with those experiencing:

  • Depression (Mild to Severe)
  • Anxiety Disorders (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, End of Life Anxiety)
  • -Grief & Bereavement
  • Relationship Difficulties & Interpersonal Issues
  • Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Substance Use & Addiction
  • Personality Disorders
  • Suicidal Behavior

Personal Info

I am fortunate to be a very active person! I am an avid reader, budding musician, and proud pet owner. To relax, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and getting outdoors.
