Beginning therapy is a courageous choice—and a meaningful first step toward change. Every person has the capacity for growth and healing, even when life feels overwhelming or past experiences continue to weigh heavily. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, offering evidence-based methods and a collaborative, client-centered approach to support both healing and skill-building.
Drawing from my training in psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I work to create a safe, supportive space where we can honor your story while developing practical tools for the life you want to build. Together, we’ll work on regulating emotions, shifting unhelpful patterns, and processing experiences that may feel “stuck,” so you can move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self-awareness.
My goal is to help you cultivate balance, self-compassion, and a deeper sense of authenticity—empowering you to live in alignment with your values and what matters most to you.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University after a successful career in crisis communications and public affairs at the U.S. Department of State. At Adler, my training focused on trauma work and included advanced study in Adlerian psychodynamic theory, which explores how early childhood experiences shape adult life. I also specialized in working with adolescents and families navigating complex challenges.
Following my coursework, I completed an intensive hybrid internship at a social services agency supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. In this role, I worked with survivors—including women and children seeking safety and working through the impact of DV in their lives —as well as individuals who perpetrated domestic
violence. This experience deepened my understanding of trauma and crisis work and inspired me to pursue specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and recover from traumatic experiences and PTSD symptoms.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I believe in the innate resilience and capacity for healing within every person and strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients can access that strength and build the tools needed for meaningful, lasting change.
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. I draw from psychodynamic therapy to understand how early experiences shape present-day patterns and relationships.
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach practical skills for managing emotions, building healthier relationships, and increasing distress tolerance. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients resolve traumatic memories and symptoms of PTSD.
This integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each person’s needs, balancing insight into the past with tools that create meaningful change in the present. At its core, my work is collaborative: I strive to meet each client with empathy and respect while guiding them toward greater resilience, clarity, and self-compassion.
I work with adults, adolescents, and families who are navigating challenges. I have experience supporting families and individuals impacted by trauma or crisis, and I value creating an inclusive, affirming environment where all clients feel understood and supported. My goal is to help people develop the skills and insight needed to move toward healing, healthier relationships, and a more authentic way of living.
