Deciding to go to therapy is a daunting decision for many. You need a therapist who is going to meet you where you are in your journey and put you first. The human
experience means something different to everyone, and I will use care and time to
understand what this experience means for you. Your therapy journey should be as
unique and special as you are. I am not there to “fix” you, but rather give you the space to process and the tools to empower yourself. You will gain clarity and confidence to face the challenges of your world. Throughout our work together, you will notice growth in yourself and will discover what living authentically means for you.
I have a Bachelor’s of Health Science from the University of Dayton. During this time, my focus was on physical health and life science. During this period, I was working in labs and assisting with research. While I still have a great love for this work, after a period of personal discernment, I knew my calling was to work in the mental health field.
I had always gravitated towards mental health academia and being there for individuals experiencing mental health crises, and knew I needed to fully lean into this passion. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
This education gave me the knowledge of the societal contexts that clients are living in, on top of the physical health knowledge I had already received. This allows me to have a holistic understanding of the individual. During this period, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting in a hospital providing case management and support to individuals hospitalized with severe mental illness. I also received a certificate in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.
My approach often is a blend of processing the past with psychodynamic work while understanding how it affects your present, and giving you practical skills with CBT. I will help you to understand and make connections to the path while focusing on how it is affecting your present. I will also use parts work to help you get to know and be in relation with all the different parts of yourself. I will use narrative therapy to help you understand and reclaim the stories you tell about your life. Existing in a day and age that promotes dysregulation and disconnection from each other, I will implement mindfulness to help you feel more centered and connected.
I work a lot with people working through changes in their lives.
Life’s transitions can feel overwhelming, leaving you questioning your identity, your relationships, and your place in the world. The pressures of adulthood—managing responsibilities, navigating uncertainties, and striving to live authentically—can stir up feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, and even existential dread. For many, unresolved trauma from the past amplifies these struggles, making it hard to feel grounded or find clarity. But healing is possible. By addressing these challenges together, we can work toward creating a sense of balance, helping you reconnect with your authentic self and move forward with greater peace and purpose.
